Healthy Valentine’s Day Fruit Snacks

Though we’re still big fans of candy hearts and boxes of chocolates, we’re even bigger fans of these homemade treats, which put a delicious and healthy spin on Valentine’s Day. Try out these simple recipes, and spoil your valentine with a box of sweet, fresh munchables.

“Hearty” Fruit Kabobs

Ingredients:

  • Cantelope
  • Watermelon
  • Strawberries
  • Grapes
  • Blueberries
  • Skewer sticks (or popsicle sticks)
  • Small heart cookie cutter (we’re a fan of this one from Target)

Directions:

  1. Wash all of the fruit
  2. If using melons, cut them into cubes slightly bigger than your cookie cutter
  3. Cut the melons into hearts using the cookie cutter
  4. Poke the skewers through the fruit, alternating the fruit
  5. Serve!

Lovely, Light Fruit Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. orange zest
  • 1 Tbsp. orange juice
  • 1/8 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Stir together all ingredients in a serving bowl
  2. Cover and chill until ready to eat

Cutesy White Chocolate Raspberries

White Chocolate Raspberries

Ingredients:

  • Raspberries
  • White chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Wash the raspberries
  2. Put the white chocolate chips into the raspberries
  3. Enjoy!
